Congratulations to Our Falcon Force and Soaring Together Award Recipients!

We are thrilled to congratulate the first two recipients of the Falcon Force and Soaring Together awards!

The Falcon Force Award celebrates an NCS staff member “who goes above and beyond to make a positive impact on students, staff or the school community”. This month’s winner is teaching assistant Becky Bieniek, who was nominated by multiple staff members for her tireless work with students of all ages in the library media center, as well as for her kind heart and ever-present smile. Congratulations, Ms. B. – we appreciate all you do!

The Soaring Together Award honors a parent, guardian or community member, as nominated by an NCS employee, who helps “lift our Falcon family by contributing their time, talents and support”. This month, music teacher Kristy McKnight nominated community member Jim Groff for his help over the past several years in coordinating the many different emergency service organizations that participate in the annual Elementary Safety Day. During the award presentation, Ms. McKnight told Mr. Groff “I wanted you to know what a blessing it is, all you do is so monumental. The collaboration we have together is so beneficial for the students here. I still have kids in the Middle School and High School who still talk about (all) the Safety Days we put together, even from 10 years ago. It leaves a lasting impact. I wanted you to know how important you are to our school community, and to acknowledge and honor you.” Congratulations, and thank you, Mr. Groff!
