The Mayfield-Northville Nordic Skiing team just wrapped up an incredibly successful week!
Two Mayfield-Northville Nordic athletes will represent Section 2 at the State Meet at Bristol Mountain Feb. 23-24!
Congratulations to teammates Brynn Thomarie of Northville and Anna Leo of Mayfield for earning their way to the State Meet!
Both athletes will skate ski in an individual race on the 23rd and as part of a classic ski relay on the 24th. Best of luck to you both!
Members of the Mayfield-Northville Nordic Skiing team earned SIX medals at the first race of the Empire State Winter Games in Saranac Lake!
The opening event was a 2.5k sprint skate race at Dewey Mountain. Northville sisters Brynn Thomarie and Lyra Thomarie each medaled, with Brynn earning silver in her age group and Lyra earning bronze in hers.
The Thomarie girls wrapped up the weekend with two more medals (Brynn won gold and Lyra bronze in a 5k classic race at the Mt. Van Hoevenburg Olympic Nordic facility in Lake Placid), and the Mayfield-Northville team took home 10 medals overall!
