“Benefits for Summer EBT 2026 will begin issuing in June 2026 and continue throughout the summer months.
Households should expect letters to arrive in spring and early summer informing them of their child’s eligibility for 2026.
The deadline to apply for 2026 Summer EBT benefits is September 8, 2026. Any application received after this date will be reviewed for the 2027 Summer EBT program year.
Most eligible children will automatically receive Summer EBT food benefits, however, some families may need to apply.
The Summer EBT benefit will only be issued once, in the full amount of $120 for each eligible child. Benefits are loaded onto an electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card and can be used anywhere SNAP/EBT benefits are accepted.”
