Each year, the Northville Central School District’s Board of Education works with district and school leaders to develop a budget proposal that focuses on the sustainability of current programs, meeting the social and emotional needs of all students, and providing equity in programs offered by the district.

Voting Information

Yearly budget votes are held on the third Tuesday in May. The polling location is the Northville Central School District school gym.

To obtain an application for an absentee ballot, call (518) 863-7000, ext. 4121.

Voter Eligibility

Voters must be U.S. citizens, age 18 or older, and a resident of the district for a minimum of 30 days prior to the vote. Personal identification and advance registration are required.

Residents who are registered with their County Board of Elections or who voted at an annual or special meeting of the school district within the past four years are considered registered to vote.

2026-27 Budget Vote and Board of Education Election Results

May 19, 2026 – Budget Vote and BOE Election Results

Northville Central School District 2026-27 Budget passed by a vote of 261-161, meeting the 50% passage requirement with the yes votes amounting to 61.8% of the total vote.

Proposition 1 regarding transportation purchases passed by a vote of 257-168.

Sass Junquera received 233 votes for the 5-year Board of Education term. Seth Darling received 161 votes for the 5-year Board of Education term. Sass Junquera has been elected to serve the 5-year term on the Northville Board of Education.

Jonathan VanAlstyne has been elected to the three-year Northville Board of Education term with 280 votes.

In Northville Public Library news, Alexander Mabbett received 239 votes and has been elected to the board of the Northville Public Library. The Northville Public Library budget passed 278-147.

2025-26 Budget Vote and Board of Education Election Results

June 17, 2025 – Budget Revote Results

The June 17 revote on the Northville Central School District 2025-26 Budget tallied 296 yes votes and 226 no votes, meeting the simple majority passage requirement.

The yes votes amounted to 56.7% of the total vote; the budget passed.

May 20, 2025 – First Budget Vote and BOE Election Results

The Northville Central School District 2025-26 Budget received 246 yes votes and 345 no votes, failing to meet the 60% + 1 supermajority passage requirement. The yes votes amounted to 41.6% of the total vote.

The two Board of Education seats on the ballot were won by John Knapp and Arlène Rambush. Mr. Knapp was running unopposed and was elected to a five-year term with 406 votes. Ms. Rambush was running unopposed and was elected to complete the open one-year term with 380 votes.
